About

Simone van Bijsterveldt studied Business Economics at the University of Nijmegen, in the Netherlands. She started her working career in the audit practice at the KPMG offices in Amstelveen (media- and NGO sector), where she also graduated for her CPA.

In 2005, Simone joined Novamedia, the company behind the Postcode Lottery, BankGiro Lottery and the Friends Lottery. From 2010 to 2015, she was responsible for the finance department at the Dutch Charity Lotteries and Novamedia. The sustainability strategy and the yearly reporting on this topic was also part of her portfolio. Over the following years, her portfolio was extended, and she became Managing Director of the media division of Novamedia. Day to day, she was responsible for four publishing houses, and she was responsible for finance and HR for the complete media division.

From 2016 until 2019, Simone was part of the Executive Board of Novamedia and the Dutch Charity Lotteries. Her portfolio consisted of finance, ESG and HR. After 14 years, she joined FrieslandCampina as Global Business insights Director, where she was responsible for the global implementation of Business Insights. Finance kept on attracting her and, in 2020, Simone joined the Board of Directors of MediaMonks, part of S4Capital Group, as CFO. Besides finance, she also implemented the global ESG strategy of S4 and was responsible for the legal department.

At the end of 2021, Simone started Liobé. She develops and helps companies to grow, using the knowledge she has built up over the last two decades. She prefers to contribute for longer periods, but also happily makes time for more short term assignments. Companies she contributed to in different roles are a.o. Equalture, Downtown Music, Regio Gooi & Vechtstreek and Eddy Grid.

Simone is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Film Fund and TivoliVredenburg and is chair of its Audit Committees. Furthermore she is part of the Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam UMC Foundation and part of the board of 2 foundations (Stichting Continuïteit Novamedia and Stichting NatuurCollege).
